Maamannan to Regina: Latest South Indian movies to watch if your Saturday evening is boring

Hyderabad: A bunch of movies were released this week on multiple OTT platforms for movie lovers to binge-watch this weekend. Here is a list of the latest popcorn flicks on OTT platforms to spend time on an overcast Saturday evening.

Spy

Featuring Nikhil, Iswarya Menon, Sanya Thakur, Abhinav Gomatam, Makarand Deshpande, and Pasupathi in key roles, Spy was released amid high expectations but utterly failed to impress the fans. The movie was made available on Prime Video on July 28.

Samajavaragamana

Samajavaragamana has a good cast starring Sree Vishnu, Reba Monica John in the lead roles, and Jhansi Laxmi, Naresh, Sudarshan, Sreekanth Iyengar, Vennela Kishore, Raghu Babu, Rajeev Kanakala, Devi Prasad, and Priya in other crucial roles. Directed by Ram Abbaraju, the film has become a blockbuster and has been streaming on aha from July 28.

Maamannan

Starring Vadivelu, Uthayanithi Stalin and others, the film showcases the rise of an MLA from an oppressed community. The film is now streaming on Netflix.

Regina

The Tamil film is about a young woman who gets traumatised after losing her husband in a bank robbery and sets out on the path to revenge. Will she achieve her mission or end up losing herself in the process? The film stars Sunaina and is streaming on Prime Video.

Appatha

This Malayalam film is directed by Priyadarshan and is about an elderly lady called Kannamma. She’s been scared of dogs all her life spent in a village. She then moves to a city with her son. How her life changes forms the crux of the film. Appatha will be released on Jio Cinema on Saturday.
