Malayalam megastar Mammootty joins Akhil Akkineni's Agent

The film's new shooting schedule began on 8 February and Mammootty was part of it.

The young and promising actor Akhil Akkineni and director Surender Reddy are collaborating for the first time for the high-budget action thriller 'Agent'. The film's first look poster presented Akhil in a never-seen-before avatar.

A newbie, Sakshi Vaidya, has been roped in to play the leading lady in the film which is a spy thriller. Vakkantham Vamsi has written the story and the film is produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments and Surender 2 Cinema.

This is already turning out to be a crazy project, given that Akhil is a promising star who scored a blockbuster with his last movie 'Most Eligible Bachelor', Surender Reddy is an accomplished director, Vakkantham Vamsi is a proficient writer, and AK Entertainments is a successful banner.

The music for 'Agent' is composed by sensational composer Hip Hop Thamizha while Ragul Herian Dharuman will be behind the camera. National Award winner Naveen Nooli is the editor while Avinash Kolla is the art director. Ajay Sunkara and Pathi Deepa Reddy are the co-producers of the film.

Meanwhile, on the sets of the film, the producers congratulated Mamukka for the success of his latest film 'Bheeshma Parvam' and cut a cake with the star. They tweeted, "Team #AGENT️Congratulates Megastar @mammukka for the Blockbuster success of his latest film #Bheeshmaparvam."
