Mangalavaaram: RX100 director Ajay Bhupathi announces his next project
Director Ajay Bhupathi is back with his third film Mangalavaaram

Hyderabad: Director Ajay Bhupathi who is known for directing the steamy ‘RX100’ which took the internet by storm became popular overnight after the release of the film. While his fans were eagerly waiting for his next film, Bhupathi made ‘Maha Samudram’ which received mixed reviews. Now, after a gap of a year, the director is back with his third film.
Titled ‘Mangalavaaram,’ the film will be jointly produced by Swathi Gunupati and Suresh Varma M of Mudhra Media Works and Ajay Bhupathi of A Creative Works. This is Ajay Bhupathi’s first movie as a producer.
‘Mangalavaaram’ will be made in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Its title and concept poster was released on 28 February. The concept poster looks creative and intriguing. It shows a young woman wearing a butterfly-like attire and in a dancing posture.
Speaking about the unconventional movie, director-producer Ajay said ‘Mangalavaaram’ is concept-based. “It belongs to a never-tried-before genre in Indian cinema. You will know the rationale behind the title when you watch the movie. There are 30 characters and every character has got a certain place in the larger scheme of the film. Every character is relevant and important,” the passionate filmmaker said.
Ajay is trying a different genre this time and is going to bounce back stronger.
