Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday launched the much-anticipated film project āShrimad Bhagavatam Part-1ā at a grand event held in Ramoji Film City.
Shrimad Bhagavatam Part-1 is being produced under the banner of Sagar Pictures Entertainment, with Akash Sagar Chopra leading the project as producer.
CM highlights importance of cultural cinema
Addressing the gathering, the chief minister appreciated the film teamās efforts in bringing cultural epics to the silver screen. He said, āRamoji Film City is a unique and iconic establishment in the country. It is a matter of pride for Telangana to have such a landmark.ā
CM Revanth added that bringing Shrimad Bhagavatam to the cinema will inspire the masses, just as Ramanand Sagarās Ramayan serial did four decades ago.
Vision for Telangana film industry
The chief minister outlined his governmentās vision to develop Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2035 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047. As part of the Vision 2047 document, he said, a dedicated chapter for the film industry is being prepared.
Concluding his speech, CM Revanth extended his best wishes to the film team, stating, āJust as Ramanand Sagarās Ramayan became a cultural milestone, I hope Shrimad Bhagavatam Part-1 creates a similar impact.ā
