It’s a wrap for Naga Chaitanya’s Custody; film gets release date

Hyderabad: Naga Chaitanya and Venkat Prabhu have teamed up for the film ‘Custody’ which marks the Tamil debut of Naga Chaitanya and the Telugu debut of Venkat Prabhu. The film went on the floors a few months and on 24 February, the makers announced the wrap of the project. On the same note, the release date of the film has been announced. ‘Custody’ will hit the screens on 12 May.

Krithi Shetty, who earlier worked with Chaithanya on ‘Bangarraju,’ has teamed up with him once again for ‘Custody.’

Popular actor Arvind Swami, who has been part of many versatile films, is playing the antagonist in ‘Custody.’ Priyamani will be seen in a pivotal role. The film also stars Sarathkumar, Sampath Raj, Premji, Vennela Kishore, Premi Vishwanath, among others.

The film is being made on a grand scale with high production values and top-notch technical standards under Srinivasaa Chitturi’s production banner Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Pavan Kumar is presenting this ambitious project.

Director Venkat Prabhu said, “Chaitu is now released from our custody.” Then, Naga Chaitanya and Kriti Shetty together said, “We will take you all into Custody on May 12th. Let’s all meet in the theatres.”

Custody is one of the most expensive films of Naga Chaitanya’s career. Maestro Ilaiyaraaja and Little Maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja have scored the music for the movie. Abburi Ravi has penned the dialogues while S.R. Kathir is handling the cinematography.

Rajeevan is the production designer and D.Y. Satyanarayana is the art director.

‘Custody’ will have its theatrical release worldwide on 12 May.
