Nagarjuna sets trend, becomes first Tollywood actor to receive jab
Nagarjuna Akkineni received the first shot of Covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday at a private hospital in Hyderabad.

Nagarjuna became the first actor in the Telugu film industry to get vaccinated. He received a dose of indigenously developed `Covaxin'.
Nagarjuna wrote that he got it done without any hassle. The actor urged people, who are eligible, to register on the government's website and get themselves vaccinated against Covid-19.
"Got my #covaxin jab yesterday. Absolutely no downtime. I urge whoever is eligible to take the vaccine!! You can now register for your #Covid19 vaccine at http://cowin.gov.in. Book your vaccine. And get it done! #Unite2FightCorona @VaccineVarta @MoHFW_India @BMGFIndia (sic)," he tweeted.

In the state, 8,17,742 persons have been vaccinated so far. Of whom 5,89,176 got the first jab, while 2,28,566 gets the second shot.
Apart from health care workers and frontline workers, around 2,00,838 people above 60 years of age have also received the jab. Around 73,400 persons above 45 years with comorbidity were also vaccinated.
