Nandamuri Balakrishna's Akhanda is proving to be one of the craziest and most successful films.
The duo, who previously delivered two blockbusters, Simhaa, Legend, has completed a hat-trick with Akhanda. Like Simhaa and Legend, Akhanda has become the highest grosser for Balakrishna.
Akhanda successfully completes 50 days run in 103 centers which is a rare feat in recent times in Tollywood. The film, which was made on the highest ever budget, has done a business of Rs 200 Cr which includes theatrical and non-theatrical revenue.
Akhanda helped producers as well all the distributors to earn money. It was a profitable venture overseas too. While it has done wonderful business in UK and Australia, the film earned 1 million dollars in the USA.
When there was so much uncertainty over theatrical business due to an upsurge in omicron cases, Akhanda conquered the box office. Despite new releases every week, the mass action entertainer continued to make solid business. The collections of the film were good in the seventh week as well.
It's the teamwork that resulted in an exceptional outcome. S Thaman's background score is the other biggest asset for the movie. C Ram Prasad's cinematography and rich production values of Dwaraka Creations added to the success.
Pragya Jaiswal played the leading lady in the movie, while Srikanth played the antagonist and Jagapathi Babu appeared in a vital role. The makers have recently held a meet to thank audiences, the cast, and the crew.
