Hyderabad: A campaign in India spearheaded by Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, in partnership with Beyond Type 1, will aim to redefine the narrative around Type 1 diabetes (T1D).
The initiative plans to do this by powerfully challenging stigma and celebrating the inspiring, real-life stories of individuals thriving with the condition, said a public note from the organisation.
Indian youth living with Type 1 diabetes
India holds the largest youth population living with T1D globally, yet faces significant challenges with low awareness and persistent stigma.
#TheBeyondType plans to address this by spotlighting incredible everyday heroes – from triathletes to karate champions – who unequivocally demonstrate that T1D does not define or limit their dreams. With their deep personal connection to the cause, Nick and Priyanka are passionately committed to amplifying these vital stories and fostering positive change across India.
