Tirupati: Tollywood singer Sravana Bhargavi's music "Okapari Kokapari" has become controversial with many people asking her to delete the video alleging that the devotional song has been picturized in an objectionable way.

Following this, on Saturday a complaint was registered against the singer by some residents of Tirupati at the Tirupati East police station.

"Okapari Kokapari" is one of the popular compositions of saint Annamayya dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. His devotional songs are popularly known as Annamayya Sankirthan. In this song, Anamacharya praises the beauty and charm of Lord Venkateswara.

In the new video, Sravana Bhargavi is seen embracing the beauty of Lord Venkateswara. The video was shot at CK Atoms Breathe in Hyderabad.

Residents of Tirupati demanded the song be removed from YouTube as it hurts the sentiments of Lord Venkateswara Swamy devotees. They also warned that they wouldn't allow Sravana Bharagavi to enter Tirupati temple. They questioned why TTD officials are not reacting to the controversy.
