OTT releases this week: Much-awaited Por Thozil to most-talked-about Pareshan

Hyderabad: August is here and it brings interesting movies to watch on OTT. Movies released in theatres in the last couple of months - some did well at the box office and some did not - are now streaming on various OTT platforms.

Pareshan

Featuring Thiruveer, renowned for his role in Masooda, Pareshan is an engaging drama directed by Rupak Ronaldson. Presented by Rana Daggubati, the film has now finalised its OTT release date. SonyLiv, having acquired the streaming rights, has officially announced that Pareshan will premiere on their platform on August 4.

Dayaa

Directed by Pavan Sadineni, Dayaa boasts an impressive ensemble cast featuring JD Chakravarthy, Eesha Rebba, Remya Nambeesan, Prudhvi Raj, Kamal Kamaraju, and Josh Ravi in significant roles. The film will be available for streaming on the OTT giant Disney+ Hotstar from August 4.

Dhoomam

The Malayalam action thriller Dhoomam, starring Fahadh Faasil and released in early 2023, will soon be available for streaming on Amazon Prime. Following mixed reviews, the film has opted for an online release. Audiences can catch it on Amazon Prime in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages from August 4.

Rangabali

Naga Shaurya’s recent Telugu release, Rangabali, unfortunately, received a disappointing response from the majority of viewers after hitting the screens on July 7. Directed by debutant Pawan Basamsetti and featuring Yukti Thareja as the female lead, the film is now set to make its way to Netflix on August 4. If you’re curious to watch it, be sure to mark the date.

The Hunt for Veerappan (Documentary Series)
