Hyderabad: Finally, Prabhas and Nag Ashwin's highly-awaited film has gone on the floors. Starring Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, the film will be produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.

An official launch and puja of the film was held on Saturday. It was attended by Amitabh Bachchan who is in the city for the shoot. Nag Ashwin, Big B, and a few other actors will be part of the first shooting schedule at Ramoji Film City (RFC). Interestingly, Prabhas gave the clap for the first shot.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to announce the launch and wrote, "T 3975 - ..travelled .. and the mahurat of first day tomorrow .. a new film a new beginning , a new environ..'NEW' never fades .. it grows exponentially." (sic)

The sci-fi thriller will not just release in Indian languages but also in foreign languages, including English. It's high on visual effects and the makers are planning to shoot it over the next year in multiple schedules.

Prabhas is meanwhile shooting for the last schedule of 'Radhe Shyam' and is then expected to juggle between 'Adipurush', 'Salaar', and the Nag Ashwin film. His schedule is being kept under wraps. There's also an epic mythological film with Dil Raju in the pipeline.

After three years of 'Mahanati', Nag Ashwin will be back with his new film. A new world is being created in RFC for the film and it is said to be one of the most expensive Indian projects till date.

Aswini Dutt, the veteran producer who founded Vyjayanthi Movies and has produced several mesmerizing and timeless blockbuster films over the last five decades, is producing this untitled project which marks the 50th year of Vyjayanthi Movies.
