Ram Charan & Upasana expecting their first child; family shares news on social media

Hyderabad: 'RRR' actor Ram Charan Tej and wife Upasana Konidela are expecting their first child. The couple took to Instagram to announce the good news and fans are super excited about it.

A special announcement was made by the entire Konidela and Kamineni family. The message read, "With the blessings of Shri Hanuman ji, We are delighted to announce that Upasana and Ram Charan are expecting their first child (sic)."

Chiranjeevi shared the announcement and wrote, "So excited to share this news! (sic)."

The entire film fraternity and fans across the world congratulated the couple on entering the new phase of their life. Ram Charan, 37, and Upasana Kamineni, 33, married in 2012. They have reportedly been friends since school and got engaged in December 2011.

Upasana, in many interviews, always said she is afraid of pregnancy and that's the reason she's been avoiding it. Also, she made it clear to the audiences that when she is ready to have a baby, all doctors and staff of the Apollo Hospital will have her back.

Ram Charan Tej is currently basking in the success of his blockbuster film 'RRR'. He recently announced his next film with Buchi Babu Sana and is busy shooting for his next with director Shankar and Kiara Advani.

Ram Charan, who is also known for his philanthropic work, was recently honoured for his achievement in entertainment at NDTV's True Legend. At the event, he spoke about how his father Chiranjeevi had advised him to look after his staff when Ram Charan was starting out as an actor. "He didn't say look after your director and producer," Ram Charan revealed.
