Teaser of Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi starrer Ramayana released
Hyderabad: The first official teaser of the upcoming Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi starrer Ramayana was released on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, the film is set to be a two-part adaptation of the epic.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Arun Govil in a key role. The visual effects for the project are being handled by the eight-time Oscar-winning studio DNEG.
The production team has confirmed that the film is being shot specifically for the IMAX format to provide a large-scale visual experience. Interest in the project has been significant across various film industries; recently, representatives from the Telugu media traveled to Mumbai to view the initial footage and meet with lead actor Ranbir Kapoor.
Release
The release schedule for the project has also been tentatively fixed. Ramayana: Part 1 is slated to hit theaters in Diwali 2026, with the second part, Ramayana: Part 2, scheduled for release in Diwali 2027.
