RRR's pre-release business shatters all-time record, earns Rs 558 crore

Directed by SS Rajamouli, RRR is slated to be released on the eve of Dasara on October 13. The filmmakers are super busy with the pre-release business of the movie.

As per the speculations, the film has earned Rs 558 Crore before its actual release. It is for the first time that an Indian film has made such a record business. Here are the state-wise details.

Andhra Pradesh – Rs 165 Cr

Nizam (Telangana) – Rs 75 Cr

Tamil Nadu – Rs 48 Cr

Kerala – Rs 15 Cr

Karnataka – Rs 45 Cr

North – Rs 140 Cr

Overseas – Rs 70 Cr

The actors of the film are busy wrapping up the film which went on floors in November last year. RRR is produced by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainments with a budget of Rs 350 crore.

RRR is special on various counts besides casting the two superstars together. This film also stars Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.

Alia Bhatt has been roped in to play the role of Sita, Ram Charan's love interest, while Jr NTR's Komaram Bheem will fall in love with Jennifer, a character played by actress Olivia Morris. Ajay Devgn will reportedly play onscreen mentor to Ram Charan and Jr NTR.

On the occasion of the Ugadi, the RRR filmmakers have released a poster featuring both Ram Charan and Tarak in a festive mood from one of the scenes of the film.

"Team RRR wishes you all a very Happy #GudiPadwa and #Baisakhi," said the caption.

Director SS Rajamouli also shared the poster on his official social media handle."Happy Ugadi to you all," he said.
