Hyderabad: Samantha’s next outing 'Shakuntalam’ is all set to hit the screen on April 14. Directed by Guna Sekhar, the movie is touted to be a mythological epic drama.

The expectations are high for this film and the movie unit has been busy with back-to-back promotional events. Sam is also busy promoting the movie. In one such promotional interview, Samantha revealed 5 interesting things about Shakuntalam.

Samantha has a flower allergy

Talking about her flower ornaments, Samantha said that she has a floral allergy. However, she shot all day without any complaints. Later in the evening, she found the imprint of flowers all over her arm.

"I thought it was permanent because no one was able to fix it. I would put makeup on top," said Samantha, adding it eventually went away after 6 months.


Samantha dubbed in 3 languages

The movie is getting released in multiple languages. Samantha said she had dubbed for the film in Tamil Telugu and Hindi languages. "I don't know how other actors do it. It was tough. I hope I have done justice to the job. I was muttering dialogues in my sleep as well," said Samantha.

Samantha was bitten by a rabbit

"While shooting for the film, I got bitten by a rabbit on the sets. They are not so cute," said Samantha.

Samantha wore a 30 kg lehenga

"Neeta Lulla mam had made some beautiful costumes. Keeping the dancing in mind she made some light ones and some really heavy ones. Heavy like 30 kgs. What it meant really for the song didn't happen and I ended up wearing a 30-kg lehenga," said Samantha.

It was not Samantha's real hair

"No points for guessing this one, but it's not my real hair in Shakuntalam," clarified Samantha.
