Samantha Akkineni, a few months ago, changed her name from Samantha Akkineni to S in all her social media accounts. That is when people started smelling something fishy and guessing that something is wrong in between the star couple. On October 2nd, the couple announced their separation and sometime after that, the actor changed her name to Samantha and uploaded the bio as 'Believe'. In both Instagram and Twitter profiles she changed her name to Samantha.
This unfortunate split of the couple has left their fans, and the Telugu film industry in shock as they were one of the most adorable couples not just in Tollywood but on a national level as well. Meanwhile, Nagarjuna has reacted to his son Naga Chaitanya's divorce from Samantha. "With a heavy heart let me say this! Whatever happened between Sam and Chay is very unfortunate. What happens between a wife and husband is very personal. Sam and Chay both are dear to me. My family will always cherish the moments spent with Sam and she will always be dear to us! May God bless them both with strength," he tweeted.
The actors said they chose to separate to focus and pursue their paths. Both of them are riding high in their careers. As per the reports, it is said that Samantha refused to accept an alimony that was being offered by Naga Chaitanya and his family ahead of the impending divorce.
Samantha is said to be heartbroken but is continuing to focus on work with a smile on her face as she doesn't want her professional life to be affected by her personal life. On the work front, she has Shaakuntalam, a Gunasekhar directorial. Sam recently finished shooting for the film. On the other hand, she has Vignesh Shivan directorial Kathuvakula Rendu Kathal which has Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara as well.
