Sardar: Nagarjuna bags distribution rights of Karthi, PS Mithran's action thriller

Hyderabad: Actor Karthi, who is popular among both the Telugu and Tamil audiences, is busy with his upcoming film 'Sardar'. For this action thriller, the 'Oopiri' actor has teamed up with director P.S Mithran of 'Abhimanyudu' fame. It has now been announced that King Nagarjuna Akkineni's Annapurna Studios has bagged the distribution rights for 'Sardar' in the two Telugu states.
The film's shoot is in progress. The theatrical release, Telugu and Tamil, of 'Sardar' is scheduled for Diwali 2022. The movie is expected to screen in a large number of theatres in the two Telugu states as Annapurna Studios has acquired the distribution rights.

Karthi has a huge following in the Telugu states and director Mithran has won appreciation for 'Abhimanyudu'. Known for making technological films, the director is making 'Sardar' with another intriguing plotline. It is one of the most-awaited films.
Sardar also stars Raashi Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan, and Chunky Panday. The cinematographer is George C. Williams while G.V Prakash Kumar helms the music department. The film is produced by S. Lakshman Kumar under Prince Pictures banner.
