Hyderabad: 'Avatar: The Way of Water' will hit the theatres on 16 December. Fans of the franchise have been waiting for the film for years now, and to their delight, Avatar 3 is set to release two years from now.

'Avatar: The Way of Water' is inching closer to its release date and audiences across the world. The world premiere was earlier this week and people are eagerly waiting to discover what is next from this visual extravaganza.

Director James Cameron spoke to digitalspy.com about 'Avatar: The Way of Water' and revealed that he will deliver another three Avatar movies by 2028. But this will be possible only if the second part is a success. In an interview, Cameron said, "Obviously you have to make a profit or we are not going to keep doing it and beating our hands against the wall."

Cameron further revealed that movie scripts for all four Avatar movies were readied long back. That was the reason for the 13-year gap between the release of his first Avatar movie in 2009 and the second that is coming out this week.

The director is confident that if everything goes as per plans, he should be able to deliver the third part of the Avatar franchise by 20 December 2024. So, if you are an ardent fan of the Avatar franchise then it's time for you to start saving the dates.
