Senior Telugu actor Chalapathi Rao passed away due to cardiac arrest

Telugu film industry is still in the grief over the loss of legendary actor Kaikala Satyanarayana who passed away yesterday morning.

Meanwhile, another senior actor passed away last night. Senior actor Chalapathi Rao breathed his last on Saturday night at his residence in Hyderabad. The actor suffered a cardiac arrest. He was 79.

Chalapathi Rao is known for playing negative shaded roles in many movies. Known for villain roles, Chalapathi Rao was born at Balliparru in Krishna district in 1944. He also entertained audiences as a comedian in many movies. He acted in more than 300 films, and garnered a good name and fame in the industry.

Vetagadu, Yamagola, Aditya 369, Sampoorna Ramayanam, Ninne Pelladatha, Aadi, and Chennakesava Reddy are a few notable films of the actor. He even produced 8 films. His son Ravi Babu is also an actor, producer and director.

Industry is mourning the loss of another senior actor. The last rites will be performed on Wednesday as his daughter from the US is awaited.
