'Shaakunthalam' : Samantha's movie release postponed; will now hit screens on April 24
Shakuntala is the wife of king Dushyant and the mother of emperor Bharata.

Directed by Gunasekhar, and produced by Neelima Guna and Dil Raju, the film was scheduled to hit the screens on Feb 17. A mythological drama, the film is based on Abhignana Shaakunthalam.
Shaakuntalam will now hit the screens on April 24. Pan-India mythological romantic drama stars Dev Mohan, Mohan Babu, Gautami, Sachin Khedekar, and others in key roles. Allu Arjun's daughter Allu Arha will be seen playing Prince Bharatha in the film and this marks the debut of the little one.
Shakuntala is the wife of king Dushyant and the mother of emperor Bharata. King Dushyant meets Shakuntala when he is out on a hunting trip in the jungle. They fell in love and got married as per the Gandharva system.
It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Samantha was recently seen in the sci-fi thriller film 'Yashoda' which received positive responses from the audience.
She will be next seen in an upcoming romantic film 'Khusi' opposite actor Vijay Deverakonda and in the action thriller web series 'Citadel' alongside Varun Dhawan. After recovering from Myositis, Samantha started shooting for Citadel. Khushi hasn't gone on floors following the actress' illness. Movie makers are waiting for dates to resume shooting.
Fans of Samantha are highly disappointed with the postponement of the film.
