Hyderabad: The much-awaited teaser of Nani's 'Shyam Singha Roy' is finally out and it looks promising. Directed by the talented Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under Niharika Entertainments, 'Shyam Singha Roy' stars Sai Pallavi, Kriti Shetty, and Madonna Sebastian as the leading ladies.
The filmmakers unveiled the trailer during the Royal Event in Warangal in front of a massive crowd at the University Arts College ground.
Vasu (Nani) plays an aspiring director (who quit his software job, we are told) looking to make his first film for which he ropes in Kriti Shetty. The first half of the trailer is funny. The second half shows Nani in the titular role of Shyam Singha Roy, a popular writer in Bengal in the 60s, who is in love with a Devadasi, played by the very talented Sai Pallavi. There is some strong connection between Vasu and Shyam Singha Roy.
Following the release of the trailer, Nani took to Twitter and wrote, "Thank you so much for all the love for #SSRTrailer and team…Dec 24th will be a special one #ShyamSinghaRoy."
The teaser had created much hype around the project and the trailer has further raised expectations. The film's original story is by Satyadev Janga and national award winner Kruti Mahesh and the talented Yash master have choreographed the songs of the film. Sanu John Varghese is the cinematographer and Mickey J. Meyer has provided the terrific background score. Together the two have managed to create a different feel for the scenes set in Bengal. The editing is by Naveen Nooli.
'Shyam Singha Roy' will release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Rahul Ravindran, Murali Sharma, and Abhinav Gomatam will be seen in important roles in the film.
