Hyderabad: Tamil film 'Maanaadu', starring Silambarasan, S.J Suryah, and Kalyani Priyadarshan, directed by Venkat Prabhu has received praises from audiences and critics. The film has done really well at the theatres and also on OTT platforms. It was an instant hit.

Now, 'Maanaadu' is all set to be remade in Telugu. Suresh Productions, owned by Rana Daggubati's father Suresh, has bought the rights of the film. A statement released by the production house read, "Suresh Productions has acquired the official remake rights of the Tamil blockbuster Maanaadu in all Indian languages, along with the theatrical dubbing rights in Telugu (sic)."

This news is likely to excite the Telugu audiences. With perfect casting, the film will definitely be a hit. Fans are now curious to see who will be cast as the lead actor and the lead antagonist.

'Maanaadu' is the story of a man stuck in a time loop. It restarts every time he dies in the loop. Also, the film dwells on the themes of communal tension and politics. The concept of a time loop is definitely not new to Telugu audiences. Earlier, director Pawan Kumar of 'U-Turn' fame directed 'Kudi Yedamaithe', a web series that was a super hit.

Simbu and S.J Suryah have nailed their performances in the film. Simbu's transformation is an asset to the film which will keep you hooked. Suresh Productions will soon announce the details of the remake.
