Hyderabad: Popular choreographer and television show judge Shiva Shankar has been admitted to a hospital in a critical condition after he tested positive for COVID-19. He has been undergoing treatment for the last four days but is unable to pay the expenses. His younger son is requesting donors to help them pay the hospital bills.

Actor Sonu Sood has now extended his support to Shiva Shankar's family. The actor responded to a post shared by PRO Vamsi Kaka and tweeted, "I am already in touch with the family, Will try my best to save his life." (sic)

According to reports, the doctors have informed that more than 75% of Shiva Shankar's lungs are infected. His wife, who is also infected with the novel coronavirus, is under home quarantine while his eldest son, also COVID-positive, is admitted to the hospital and is in critical condition. Shiva Shankar's younger son Ajay Krishna is requesting help to pay the hospital bills which come to around Rs. 2.5 lakh per day.

Photographs of the choreographer from the hospital have surfaced online. It is expected that at least the biggies in the industry, not just the Telugu film industry but Tamil as well, would come forward to help them.

Shiva Shankar has worked in the film industry for a long time and has choreographed many songs. He has also acted in several Telugu and Tamil movies. Some of his notable performances in Tamil include Suriya-starrer 'Thaanaa Serndha Koottam' and Vijay-starrer 'Sarkar'.
