Hyderabad: With several films being remade in Telugu, many from A-list actors to small-time actors are eyeing these projects. Also, directors who are trying to make a mark for themselves are, instead of working on new scripts, choosing remakes. One such film that is being remade in Telugu is the Malayalam blockbuster film 'Nayattu'.
While the remake has not been officially announced it is known that actors Rao Ramesh, Satya Dev and Anjali are playing the roles played by Joju George, Kunchako Boban, and Nimisha Sajayan, respectively. 'Nayattu' was a blockbuster hit in Malayalam. The remake will be produced by Allu Aravind under his home banner Geetha Arts and will be directed by Karuna Kumar of 'Palasa' and 'Sridevi Soda Centre' fame.
'Nayattu' is the story of three cops who, in an accident, kill a man in the village. When cops whose duty is to stop people from committing crimes kill someone will they surrender or escape from the truth? The climax of the film is left to the audience.
The Telugu remake was set to start some time ago but hadn't gone on floors till now. Now, the filmmakers have decided to start shooting at the earliest. As per the info, the shooting will begin from November till January. The makers plan to wrap the post-production at the earliest.
Geetha Arts is currently basking on the success of its recent flick 'Most Eligible Bachelor' starring Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hedge in the lead roles.
