Hyderabad: Thalapathy Vijay, the heartthrob of Tamil film industry, is reportedly making his debut in Tollywood. According to the news that is doing the rounds, Vijay has given his nod to director Vamsi Paidipally's upcoming film that will be produced by Dil Raju and will be a bilingual project shot in Telugu and Tamil.
The news has gone viral on social media. However, an official confirmation from the filmmakers is awaited.
Vijay's Telugu fans are already excited about the news and can't wait to see their favourite actor in a Telugu film.
Director Vamsi Paidipally is known for his films 'Oopiri' and 'Maharshi' that were huge hits. He is quite popular in the south especially after 'Maharshi' became a blockbuster.
Vijay has been part of the Tamil film industry since 1984 when he started as a child actor. He started playing lead roles when he was 18 and since then he's been one of the superstars of the Tamil film industry with a huge fan following. It was his fans who gave him the title Thalapathy.
Vijay is basking on the success of his recent flick 'Master' which went on to become a super hit at the box office. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj the film had Vijay Sethupathi also in the lead role.
Meanwhile, Vijay is shooting for his upcoming film 'Thalapathy65' that is being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. He recently wrapped up the first schedule that was shot in Georgia. Pooja Hegde will star opposite Vijay in the film.
