Hyderabad: The trailer for actor-turned- politician Pawan Kalyan's upcoming film 'Vakeel Saab' dropped on 29 March.
The actor is making a comeback with the courtroom drama 'Vakeel Saab' after a brief hiatus. He was last seen in Trivikram Srinivas's 2018 film 'Agnyaathavaasi'.
Following the launch, celebrations erupted in cinema halls where the trailer was released on the big screen. Large crowds of fans could be seen in various cinema halls around the city, whistling and beating drums.
Meanwhile, the online trailer was released at 6 p.m on Monday and within minutes around the trailer had over 4 lakh views on YouTube.
'Vakeel Saab' is directed by Venu Sriram and produced by Dil Raju. The film is the remake of the Hindi film 'Pink' (2016). The Telugu version will star Pawan Kalyan, Anjali, Nivetha Thomas, Ananya Nagalla, Prakash Raj, and Shruthi Haasan.
The film release was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its theatrical release is scheduled for 9 April 2021.
The film is produced under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Creations and Bay View Projects by Raju-Shirish and co-produced by Harshith Reddy while Boney Kapoor, the original producer of 'Pink', is presenting the movie.
Meanwhile, Thaman gives the trailer a solid edge with his rocking music. The dialogues are written by Thiru and the action designed by Ravi Verma.
