Hyderabad: Ever since it was announced, Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas's 'Saakini Daakini' has been making headlines. The film is the Telugu remake of the South Korean action-comedy film 'Midnight Runners'.

The film will hit the theatres on 16 September.

Directed by Sudheer Varma, 'Saakini Daakini' is the second project of Suresh Productions, Guru Films, and Kross Pictures.

'Saakini Daakini' teaser has been released and it introduces the main characters played by Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas as trainees at the Police Academy. While Nivetha is a foodie, Regina has OCD. They underperform at the training camp and get into fights but display their skills at the appropriate time.

Going by the teaser, the movie has fun, action, a strong story, and drama. Both Regina and Nivetha have played their parts well and they look like daredevils in certain sequences. Sudheer Varma, who is good at handling thrillers, has shown his skill in dealing with this subject.

Richard Prasad's camera work is commendable, and Mikey McCleary and Naresh Kumaran have done outstanding work with the visuals and background score. Viplav Nyshadam's editing is sharp and the production design is also high in quality.

The teaser has made a positive impression.
