Trisha’s comeback to Telugu cinema: Team-up with Chiranjeevi after 18 years

Hyderabad: After being honoured with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan award, Megastar Chiranjeevi is riding high on success and is currently immersed in the shooting of his upcoming fantasy action drama, Vishwambhara. Directed by Mallidi Vassishta, known for the acclaimed Bimbisara, the film features the ever-charming Trisha in a significant role.

Sharing a glimpse from the film’s set, Chiranjeevi took to his social media profile to express his joy at collaborating with Trisha after 18 years. In the video, he can be seen warmly welcoming the actress with a flower bouquet and a heartfelt hug. Dressed in black, Chiranjeevi exudes elegance, while Trisha looks stunning in a black and red saree. Their camaraderie on set reflects the happiness of reuniting for this project.

Trisha, equally excited about the collaboration, shared her joy on Instagram, posting a picture of flower bouquets from her vanity van with the caption, “To new beginnings 4/2/2024.” This marks her reunion with Chiranjeevi after their last joint venture in the 2006 Telugu movie Stalin.

Looking at her upcoming projects, Trisha, who delivered an impressive performance in Leo, has signed up for the Tamil film Vidaa Muyarchi alongside Ajith Kumar. Additionally, she is set to appear in Mohanlal’s Ram, a Malayalam film directed by Jeethu Joseph. The talented actress is also part of an upcoming film with Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, rumoured to be titled Thug Life, though an official confirmation is still pending.

Vishwambhara, produced by UV Creations, boasts the musical brilliance of Oscar Award winner MM Keeravani and the cinematographic expertise of Chota K Naidu. The film, scheduled for release on January 10, 2025, has already stirred anticipation with its previously released glimpse, leaving fans eagerly awaiting this unique cinematic collaboration.

This project marks Chiranjeevi’s first venture with UV Creations, owned by Ram Charan’s close friend Vikram Reddy. As Vishwambhara promises a blend of Trisha’s charm and Chiranjeevi’s exploration into new-age cinema, it is poised to make a significant impact on the audience when it graces the screens in 2025.
