'Varisu': Vijay's Telugu debut movie to release on Jan 12; trailer breaks internet

The much-awaited trailer of Thalapathy Vijay's Tamil film Varisu is out now. It is taking the internet by storm.

The trailer opens with a joint family having lunch happily together. While Sharath Kumar and Jaya Sudha are seen playing the heads of the family, Srikanth and Shaam are seen playing their sons.

The third son, who is not much known to anybody, or the outside world, is none other than Thalapathy Vijay. He chooses to lead a simple life. Then comes the antagonist Prakash Raj who wants to occupy Sharath Kumar's position in the top-most company.

When the younger son realizes that there is a threat to his family, which is currently being separated for various reasons, he comes into action to protect his family. Well, amidst all the chaos, he has a love life with Rashmika Mandanna. Khusbhu Sundar will also be seen playing a key role in the film.

Varisu will be released in Telugu as `Varasudu' as this marks Vijay's debut in the Telugu film industry. Vijay looks very stylish and the visuals look stunning and pleasing to the eye. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, the film is produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations.

Music for the film has been composed by Thaman. The background score elevates every scene in the trailer. The trailer proves that the makers have left no stone unturned when it comes to the production quality of the film.

Vamsi Paidipally's movies have always been full of emotions. This one too will not disappoint the audience on that count. Varisu is slated for release on January 12 ahead of Pongal. Also, a day before the release of Varisu, Ajith starrer Thunivu is hitting the screens to give a huge competition at the box office.
