Hyderabad: Vetrimaaran has made some amazing films like Asuran, Vada Chennai, Visaranai, Kaka Muttai, and others. His recent flick `Viduthalai’ hit the screens in Tamil Nadu last week. It is winning the hearts of the common man for being close to reality. The film has Vijay Sethupathi and Soori in the lead roles.

The Telugu dubbed version will be hitting the screens on April 15. Ahead of the release, the director was in Hyderabad to promote the film.

"Following the success of Asuran, I wanted to make a small and simple film. I took my time choosing Soori for this role, but the film became huge in the end. The budget was increased 18 times over what I initially told Producer. But he still made the film, which we appreciate. Thank you for bringing this film into Telugu, Allu Aravind Garu. The Telugu dubbing and song lyrics are absolutely stunning. Soori's efforts, as well as our entire team's hard work on this film, are impressive, and I want to thank them all. The film will be released in Telugu theatres on April 15," he said

Actor Soori is familiar to the audiences as a comedian in Tamil films. Vetrimaaran chose to portray him as an amazing actor and not as a comedian.

"My name is Soori, and I'd like to thank Allu Aravind for releasing our film in Telugu," said actor Soori. On April 15th, our film Viduthalai will be released in Telugu as Vidudhala. Thank you to my director Vetrimaaran Garu and producer Elred Kumar Garu for this wonderful opportunity. I will improve my Telugu next time and will definitely speak fluently. I will do roles as they come and I don't wait for only hero roles. Thank you all for coming here and please watch Vidudhala in theatres on April 15,” he said

Titled Vidudala in Telugu, the film has to compete with Samantha's Shakuntalam at the box office.
