Hyderabad: The teaser of director Shakun Batra's upcoming film 'Gehraiyaan', starring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Pandey, and Sidhhant Chaturvedi, was launched on Monday. The highly-anticipated movie will release in January on Amazon Prime Video.
After the release of the teaser, Deepika tweeted, "A piece of my heart."
Producer Karan Johar wrote, "It's time to dive deep and find out what's beneath just the surface. #GehraiyaanOnPrime world premiere on Jan 25."
Deepika and Siddhant's sizzling chemistry has fans going gaga. The title song that dropped on Monday is also winning hearts all over.
Deepika, Siddhant, and Ananya started shooting for the film in October 2020. A major part of the movie was shot on the outskirts of Mumbai. The actors were often snapped commuting to and fro via the Mumbai-Alibaug ferry. The trio also shared several photos on social media from the sets taking expectations to new heights.
The film is skipping theatrical release and will stream directly on Amazon Prime Video. Fans on Twitter, however, said they don't see a reason why this film won't work in the cinemas.
Earlier, Deepika had shared a photo from the film and wrote, "Yes…It has been a bit of a wait. But as the saying goes…Sometimes, the longer you wait for something, the more you appreciate it when it finally arrives! Hopefully, the same holds true here. I took the opportunity to be a part of something that I believe was truly magical. And with love in my heart and utmost gratitude, I cannot wait to share our labour of love with all of you…"
