Watch: `The Family Man 2' trailer offers glimpse of Samantha Akkineni role, to stream from June 4

Starring Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, and Samantha Akkineni, in lead roles, the web series is directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. Manoj essays the role of Srikant Tiwari, while Samantha plays Raji, a Sri Lankan Tamilian and his new nemesis.

This web series marks the digital debut of Samantha Akkineni. It will be for the first time that she will be playing an antagonist on screen.

The trailer starts with a glimpse into the chaos in Manoj and Suchitra's marriage. It opens with the troubles that Manoj's character Srikant is facing in his marriage.

The trailer looks promising and it shows that the second season has a lot more than what we think it will have. The comic timing and wit that he had in season one, is intact and he has switched jobs to be at a more peaceful location. He gets frustrated with an undercover, low-paid job. Soon, things pace up and Manoj finds himself in Chennai where an attack is likely being planned.

The trailer is trending on social media and fans of the series are going gaga especially due to Samantha's presence.

"As creators, we have been waiting for a pretty long time to share the trailer of the much-awaited new season of The Family Man today. We promised the season will be out by end of this summer, and we are glad that we just about kept that promise. The series will stream on Amazon Prime Video from June 4.
