By Bhavana Published on 4 Sep 2022 7:52 AM GMTHyderabad: Following the success of 'RRR', Jr. NTR has become popular worldwide. Many filmmakers are now inviting Tarak to the pre-release events and press conferences of their films as they believe that his presence and support will help the film.
The 'Aravinda Sametha' actor was recently a special guest at the 'Brahmastra' pre-release event. Tarak lent his support to the film which is directed by Ayan Mukherji and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Shah Rukh Khan.
Speaking at the event, Tarak said the focus should be on content that can impress the audience. "Lately, films have not been doing well across industries and it is high time that we focus on content that can impress the audience. It is an undeniable fact that the film industry is going through a rough and tough time. We need to support each other. We need to make good films and impress the audience. It is high time we stand for each other."
Adding to this, Karan Johar said, "Very true. I am honoured and thankful to Tarak for attending this event. I think we should stop adding and tagging 'wood' behind every industry and instead call it Indian Cinema. We are here today to support each other and I thank you for that."
Karan Johar and others agreed that Rajamouli, with 'Baahubali', erased the borders of cinema by making a film that has become popular globally. 'RRR' is more popular than 'Baahubali' now, they said, and added that Ayan Mukherji is Rajamouli's disciple.
Meanwhile, Tarak apologised to his fans and the media as the Brahmastra pre-release event at RFC was called off. He further added, "I like many actors in the industry but only a few have left a mark on me, like Amitabh Bachchan sir. He left a mark on me. After Amit ji, I am connected to Ranbir. His films inspired me. 'Rockstar' is one such film. His intensity while performing in 'Rockstar' left a mark on me. I like Ranbir the most. Happy to share the stage with him in Hyderabad."
Talking about Alia Bhatt, Tarak said, "Alia a darling. She's one of the finest actors of the generation. We worked together on 'RRR' and it was great working with her. She's a gem of a person and I wish all the best to the couple."
'Brahmastra' will hit the screens on 9 September in multiple languages and is said to be the biggest film of India releasing in 8,000 screens globally.
