EPS homeward bound after two-week tour of UK, US, UAE

Chennai: After a two-week-long tour of the United Kingdom, USA and UAE to meet and invite investors, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami will return to Chennai early tomorrow morning.

He is expected to reach Chennai at 2.40 am from Dubai on Tuesday morning to a grand welcome.

Mr Palaniswami had been to London to met tech giants and heads of various business houses, wherein, he signed deals for investment in Tamil Nadu. Some tie-ups include international skills development corporation for skilling the health workforce, primarily nurses and doctors, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and establishing The King’s College Hospital in Tamil Nadu.

In the USA Mr Palaniswami signed 16 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) at an investor meeting in New York totalling to Rs 2,780 crore. According to sources, the companies that signed MoUs include Scitus Pharma, Novitium Labs, Aspire Consulting and Zillion Technologies and Jean Martin, among others.
