Anil Ajay was employed with JPMorgan Chase & Co. at Gachibowli until a few months ago.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. is an American multinational investment bank and financial services holding company headquartered in New York City. JPMorgan Chase is ranked by S&P Global as the largest bank in the United States and the sixth-largest bank in the world by total assets, with total assets of US$2.765 trillion.
The police said JPMorgan had engaged Anil Ajay as a consultant for two years and his contract expired in November 2019. After completion of the term, his contract was not renewed and he had to leave the organisation.
Since then he had been at home. Anil Vijay was quite upset and had slipped into depression for not being able to find another job, said the police quoting his family members. Suspecting that her son was not in a proper frame of mind, Anil Vijay's mother constantly kept a watch on his activities. She even took him out to a park on Saturday for relaxing.
On Monday, his mother R Swarnalatha and younger brother Anil Rohan went to work, leaving behind Anil Ajay at home. During lunchtime, she called on his mobile, but there was no response. Swarnalatha immediately called up a neighbour and asked him to check on her son.
To his shock, the neighbour found Anil Ajay hanging from the ceiling with a saree. Swarnalatha told the police that her son could have taken the extreme step over losing the job. The Malkajgiri police have registered a case and started a probe.
