Hyderabad: A YouTube channel by the name, Govt job portals, which has 306K thousand subscribers posted a video on August 15 claiming that the Ministry of Rural Development has released a notification to fill posts in the Panchayat and District Council under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAYG)scheme. As many as 3,700 users liked the video.

The official website has no such advertisement. The claim is FALSE.

The video starts with a voice in Hindi which translates as “there are many job vacancies in the Ministry of Rural Development under PMAYG scheme. The page then scrolls down and the voiceover continues while some options are highlighted in blue colour.

Then the voiceover goes ahead to explain the various posts and reservations and claims that the notification was released by the Ministry of Rural development Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin Recruitment 2020. The video also claims that the date of the notification was out in August 2020.

Upon checking the official website, we did not find any such notification. This advertisement is fake.

On August 23, the Information Department of the Government of India, Press Information Bureau (PIB), made it clear through a tweet that the central government has not issued any applications for the posts of Panchayat and District Council under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin Scheme.
