Fact Check: Viral claim that late Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru was slapped after 1962 debacle is False

"When Nehru got a slap on the face by Swami Vidyanand Videh post 62 debacles. Reason: Nehru in his speech had said that Aryas were refugees in India, hearing this Swami who was also the chief guest got up went up to the stage and slapped Nehru," reads the caption of the picture.

The claim that Jawahar Lal Nehru was slapped is FALSE.
With the help of reverse search, we found that this image is available on eBay with a caption, "1962 Press Photo Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru restrained in Patna"
"Indian Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru is restrained from moving into a disorderly crowd at a meeting of his Congress party in Patna," reads the caption.
Searching on Google with keywords "Indian Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru is restrained from moving into a disorderly crowd at a meeting of his congress party in Patna (Associate Press)", we found a website
"A security man grabbed Indian Prime Minister Nehru to keep him from plunging into a riotous crowd at a meeting of the Congress Party in Patna, India, January 1962. Later in the year, Communist China's attack on India plunged Nehru into new troubles. (AP Photo)," reads the message.
After searching the archives, we found the original article published in The Times Daily in 1962.
Hence the claim of Facebook user is FALSE.
