Many social media users have been sharing a post claiming that people found Hanuman's idol while digging on the land allotted for Babri Masjid. The post said, "While digging the five acres of land allotted to Babri Masjid, they found Lord Hanuman's idol. It shows Ayodhya is the land of Lord Ram."

This message is going viral on both Facebook and Twitter.





Fact Check

A reverse image search performed on one of the pictures shows results from July 2019. According to media reports published on July 12 and 13, workers found the Hanuman idol while diggings on Vidisha road in Sukhi Sewaniya village in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Hence, the claim that the Hanuman idol being found while digging on the land allotted to Babri Masjid in Ayodhya is FALSE. It was found during digging in Bhopal in July 2019.
