Hyderabad: Since October 15, Bengaluru has been hit by heavy rainfall, leading to widespread flooding in several areas and causing significant inconvenience to residents.

According to data from the BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike), rainwater entered 142 houses affecting the families and 39 trees fell from the torrential rains. Flooding has been reported in 52 locations across the city.

In this context, a video showing autorickshaws and bikers struggling to navigate the floodwaters on a road has been circulating on social media. The accompanying claim suggests that the footage shows the recent flooding in Bengaluru.

An X user shared the video and wrote, ā€œBangaloreā€™s first ever beach has been inaugurated... Bangalore residents are requested to visit this scenic beachā€¦ā€

Upon conducting a reverse image search of the videoā€™s keyframes, we found a screenshot in a report published by One India on September 5, 2022. The report mentioned several areas in Bengaluru affected by heavy rainfall at the time.

We also found a screengrab from the video published by Times Now on September 7, 2022. ā€œThe rain has caused hardship even for billionaires in Bengaluru,ā€ read the text on the image.

Sun News Tamil published the video on September 5, 2022. The channel reported that the video shows two-wheeler riders struggling to cross an inundated road in Bengaluru.
