Fact: The claim is false. The woman in the video is human, popular as a content creator.

Hyderabad: A video of a woman walking in a public place being eagerly followed by people taking videos of her has gone viral. Those sharing the video claim the woman is a robot powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in China.

A user on Threads shared the video and wrote, ā€œRobot in China, walking around in public placesā€¦ā€

Fact Check

NewsMeter found that the claim is false. The woman in the video is a popular content creator from China, not a robot.

Through a reverse image search, we found a similar video of the woman on YouTube, uploaded on July 27, 2023. The video was titled ā€˜Qian Princess #tiktok #trend #chinaā€™. A keyword search for ā€˜Qian Princessā€™ led us to an Instagram account with the same name.

The Instagram page belonged to the woman in the viral video. Her bio read ā€˜video creator | qian princess official,ā€™ and the account has 300,000 followers.

We also found the viral video among her posts, shared on July 19, 2023, accompanied by the caption, ā€œDo you luv my outfit?ā€ Her ccount had similar videos of her walking in public.

Hence, the claim that the video shows an AI robot walking in public in China is false. The viral footage featured a Chinese video creator who is human.
