Hyderabad: As Muslims in India celebrated Eid on March 31, a video of a huge crowd, many in skull caps, gathered on a road and raising slogans has been circulating on social media. Users sharing the video claim that on Eid, Muslims raised slogans for the destruction of Hindus in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.
Sharing the video, an X user wrote, āUnhel, Ujjain: Muslims praying for the destruction of Hindus on Eid! On the day of Eid, they are praying ā āHindu barbaad hoga (Hindus will be ruined), InshaAllah, InshaAllah.ā And this is not being said in secret but openly while standing on the road near a temple.ā (Archive)

Fact Check
NewsMeter found that the claim is false. There are no reports of anti-Hindu slogans being raised this Eid, and the video is from April 2024.
We slowed down the viral video and found that the actual slogans raised were āIsrael tu barbaad hogaā (Israel, you will be destroyed), followed by āInshaAllah, InshaAllah.ā The slogan can be heard clearly in the viral video, too.
Next, we conducted a reverse image search of the video's keyframes, which led us to its publication on the YouTube channel of Punjab Kesari Madhya Pradesh on April 12, 2024. The channel stated that slogans calling for the destruction of Israel were raised in Ujjain. We corroborated this by slowing down the video so that the anti-Israel slogans could be heard clearly.
Another YouTube channel, Swadesh News Digital, published the video on April 12, 2024, stating that āIsrael tu barbaad hogaā (Israel, you will be destroyed) slogans were raised in Ujjain.
We also found the video reported by Dainik Bhaskar and ETV Madhya Pradesh from April 2024, stating that a video from Unhel, Ujjain district, had gone viral on social media, in which members of the Muslim community could be heard raising slogans against Israel.
The media outlets also reported that while Ujjain SP Pradeep Sharma stated the video would be investigated, Hindu organisations had submitted a complaint letter demanding action against the accused.
Reason behind anti-Israel slogans
Since the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, various Muslim groups and organisations have organized protests in multiple cities in India, condemning Israel's actions and expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Therefore, we conclude that the claim of anti-Hindu slogans raised on this Eid in Ujjain in the viral video is false.
