Hyderabad: The Election Commission has announced the schedule for the Bihar Assembly elections, which will be held in two phases, on November 6 and 11. The counting will be on November 14. As political temperature rises, social media platforms are abuzz with campaign-related videos and claims.

Amid this, a video purportedly showing actor Manoj Bajpayee campaigning for Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav is going viral. In the clip, Bajpayee is seen interacting with people allegedly saying, “Tejashwi Yadav will take charge of the next government in Bihar on November 14, 2025.”

The viral video shows actor Manoj Bajpayee in a series of short clips edited together. It features him speaking to different people in various locations, including a media event, a dressing room, a spa, a car, a high-rise building, a bar, and an airplane. Fact Check

NewsMeter found that the claim is false. The viral video is a manipulated version of an old Amazon Prime advertisement featuring Manoj Bajpayee.

On careful observation, we noticed the word ‘spoof’ written at the bottom-right corner of the viral clip, an indication that the content was meant as satire or parody.

To trace the source, NewsMeter conducted a reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video.

The search led us to the official YouTube channel of Amazon Prime Video India, where a video titled ‘Your Amazon Prime Recommendation Ft. Manoj Bajpayee | Prime Video India’ was uploaded on November 1, 2023.

In the original ad, Bajpayee can be seen engaging with people to discuss film recommendations, not political campaigning.

Further, we ran the viral video through Hive Moderation AI detector, which confirmed that the audio track was digitally altered using AI tools. The manipulated voice made it appear as though Bajpayee was endorsing Tejashwi Yadav.

We also found a post by Manoj Bajpayee on X, dated October 16, in which he debunked the viral video.

His post read, “I would like to publicly state that I have no association or allegiance with any political party. The video being circulated is a fake, patched-up edit of an ad I did for Prime Video. I sincerely appeal to everyone sharing it to stop spreading such distorted content and urge people not to engage with or encourage such misleading content.”

The viral video claiming that Manoj Bajpayee is campaigning for RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav ahead of the 2025 Bihar elections is fake. The original clip is from an Amazon Prime advertisement, and the audio has been manipulated using AI.

Therefore, the claim is false.
