Hyderabad: An e-newspaper clipping is being circulated on social media, allegedly reporting that BRS leader and Huzurabad MLA Padi Koushik Reddy was beaten by his wife. The clipping features the logo of Telugu Scribe and is dated Thursday, July 26, 2025. It includes images of Padi Koushik Reddy, his wife Shailini, and presents a sensational narrative of a domestic dispute.

NewsMeter found that the claim is false. The viral clipping is digitally fabricated.

We carefully examined the paper clipping and found a discrepancy in the date. The clipping is dated Thursday, July 26, 2025; however, July 26 falls on a Saturday, not a Thursday. This inconsistency raised doubts about the authenticity of the claim and the viral paper clipping.

The publication Telugu Scribe shares news updates through social media platforms and does not operate a website. While it occasionally posts e-paper-style content, this is limited to its social media handles. We skimmed through its social media handles but did not find the viral paper clipping being shared.

Responding to the viral post, @ScribeFactCheck, the fact-checking X handle of Telugu Scribe, clarified that the paper clipping is fake.

Also, we could not find any credible media reports or official statements supporting the claim that the incident took place.

Therefore, we conclude that the viral e-newspaper clipping alleging that BRS leader Padi Koushik Reddy was beaten by his wife is fake.
