Fact Check

NewsMeter found that the original video shows a CEAT Tyres ad and the campaign to remove PM Modi has been digitally added to mislead the people.

On performing a reverse image search of the video’s keyframe, we found the original video published by the YouTube channel Modern Advert on 13 June 2021. The video at the end promotes CEAT Tyres. It says CEAT fuel tyres can save fuel costing Rs. 15,000 in three years.

The ad was also published by CEAT Tyre on 8 June 2017 on its YouTube channel titled “Savings at Supermarket - CEAT Fuelsmarrt Tyres.”

The video description reads, “How often has a trip to the supermarket involved spending big on a few kilos? Every single time, right? When such is the case, any savings bring a smile! Why choose to save just a few coins when you can save much more to cover your grocery bills? With CEAT Fuelsmarrt tyres, you’ll always be covered!”

Hence, we conclude that the viral ad showing the “Modi Hatao” campaign is doctored and misleading.
