NewsMeter did not find any announcement by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) saying that the Chandrayaan-3 rover has found any of the objects mentioned in the viral video.
We ran a keyword search but could not find any report by any credible media organisation on Chandarayaan-3 finding a river, a civilisation, a human graveyard and aliens on the moon. Had the news been true, it would have been published by all media organisations across the world.
We came across a report by Mint, that said the Chandrayaan-3 Moon Mission has completed two of its objectives and the third is currently underway. While the demonstration of a safe and soft landing on the lunar surface and the demonstration of the rover roving on the moon are accomplished, conducting in-situ scientific experiments is currently underway.
It further mentioned that on August 30, the Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS) instrument onboard the Pragyan rover ‘unambiguously confirmed’ the presence of sulphur on the lunar surface near the south pole. It also detected elements like Aluminium (Al), Calcium (Ca), Iron (Fe), Chromium (Cr), Titanium (Ti), Manganese (Mn), Silicon (Si), and Oxygen (O). The space agency further added that the search for Hydrogen (H) is underway.
Next, we checked the ISRO’s website and found updates on the findings of the rover.
On August 28, it announced that in-situ measurements by the LIBS instrument onboard the Chandrayaan-3 rover confirmed the presence of Sulphur (S) on the lunar surface. It also confirmed the presence of Aluminium (Al), Calcium (Ca), Iron (Fe), Chromium (Cr), Titanium (Ti) Manganese (Mn), Silicon (Si), and Oxygen (O) on the lunar surface. It added that an investigation regarding the presence of Hydrogen is underway.
On August 30, ISRO announced the Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer (APXS) onboard the rover, found interesting elements such as Sulphur, Aluminium, Silicon, Calcium, and Iron on the lunar surface.
On August 31, the space agency announced Radio Anatomy of Moon Bound Hypersensitive Ionosphere and Atmosphere - Langmuir Probe (RAMBHA-LP) on board Chandrayaan-3 measured near-surface plasma content and the Instrument for Lunar Seismic Activity (ILSA) payload recorded the vibrations occurring due to the movements of the rover and other payloads.
We did not find any announcement by the ISRO about the Chandrayaan-3 rover finding the existence of a river, civilisation, a human graveyard and an alien-like species on the moon. Hence, we conclude that the claim is false.
