Hyderabad: A video of US President Joe Biden ‘farting’ during a ceremony is making rounds on social media.
The on-screen caption of the video reads, “Did he just fart?” The 10-second clip starts with the host (an unidentified military personnel) saying, “Please receive this opening prayer” followed by a sound effect of a loud fart as Biden bows down for prayers.
Indeed, it is funny (for some audiences, at least), but is it true? Let’s find out.

NewsMeter found that the video is clearly edited.
On performing a reverse image search, we found the original recording of the ceremony on C-SPAN dated May 29, 2023. According to the report, President Biden was present on the occasion of the Memorial Day Ceremony. On closely analysing the video, we found that no such incident took place during the entire ceremony. We spotted the 10-second clip on the time stamp of 36:31 minutes of the video.
Hence, it is clear that the video of the US President is edited with the sound effect of flatulence.
