A video showing a group of people praying inside a pillared complex is going viral on social media.
Several Facebook users have claimed that the video shows Christians praying inside the Thousand Pillar Temple in Warangal.
Former CBI Director M. Nageswara Rao shared the video claiming that the video is being reportedly shared as from the Thousand Pillar Temple but it could be from any other temple.

The verified Twitter handle of the Telangana Police replying to the tweet of M. Nageswara Rao said that the video is not from Thousand Pillar Temple and asked him to verify the authenticity before forwarding it.

The official Twitter handle of the Commissioner of Police, Warangal, replying to Rao’s tweet, said that the incident took place at the Warangal Fort. It also mentioned that culprits were arrested and action will be taken against them for disturbing communal harmony. A criminal case has been registered at Mills Colony police station.

The culprits are being arrested & Stringent action would be taken against those disturbing the Communal Harmony.
Telangana police chief also took to Twitter to confirm that the incident did not take place at Thousand Pillar Temple. He said Telangana remains committed to protecting the secular ethos and also warned that those spreading the videos will be questioned by the police.
Forwarding a video without verifying its authenticity is not expected of a responsible citizen. By doing so, you inadvertently become a tool in the hands of mischievous elements who intend to destroy the secular fabric of our nation.
