A video showing a lady in the getup of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi is viral on social media, with users claiming it shows the trailer of the upcoming film “Emergency”.

A Facebook user shared the video with the caption, “Trailer of upcoming movie " EMERGENCY "Must watch.”

Fact Check

NewsMeter found that the video is a seven-minute clip from the Hindi movie “PM Narendra Modi”, released in 2019.

On performing a reverse image search of the key frame of the video, we found the full movie uploaded by a YouTube channel titled “PM Narendra Modi 2019 Hindi Full Movie.”

The seven-minute viral clip appears in this video at 25.24 minutes.

According to IMDB, the movie was released on May 24, 2019, directed by Omung Kumar and starring Vivek Oberoi, Boman Irani and Barkha Bisht.

“Emergency” starring Kangana Ranaut will be released on November 24, 2023. The original teaser can be seen here.


Hence, we conclude that the viral video clip does not show the trailer of the upcoming film “Emergency”.
