A video of a woman dancing has been circulating, claiming it shows Meerut’s Muskan Rastogi accused of murdering her husband.

Claim:The video shows Meerut’s Muskan Rastogi who allegedly killed her husband, Saurabh Rajput, with her companion Sahil Shukla.
Fact:The claim is false. The video features model and dancer Palak Saini from Haryana.
Hyderabad: Muskan Rastogi, a resident of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, is accused of murdering her husband, Saurabh Rajput, a former Merchant Navy officer, with the assistance of her companion, Sahil Shukla. The couple married in 2016 and had a daughter in 2019. Investigations revealed that Muskan and Sahil were childhood acquaintances who reconnected in 2019, leading to an extramarital affair.
In this context, a video of a woman dancing in a black dress has been circulating on social media with people claiming it is Muskan Rastogi.
An X user shared the video and wrote, “Look carefully, this is the same Muskaan Rastogi who cut her husband into 15 pieces…” (Translated from Hindi) (Archive)
Fact Check
NewsMeter found that the claim is false. The woman in the video is Palak Saini.
A reverse image search of the keyframes from the video led us to its source, which was posted on an Instagram account belonging to a person named Palak Saini on March 18. We also found multiple videos of Saini wearing the black dress featured in the viral video.
For further confirmation, NewsMeter spoke to Palak Saini, who confirmed that she is the one dancing in the video and that it was filmed at an event in Kota, Rajasthan. Expressing her anguish, she said, “People are randomly sharing my video, which could be dangerous for us. The claim that the video features Muskan Rastogi is false.”
Speaking about herself, Saini stated that she is a transwoman, working as a model and dancer from Sonipat, Haryana. She also said that the other woman in the video is her transwoman friend, Mona.
Therefore, we conclude that the video does not feature Muskan Rastogi. The claim is false.
