A video claiming football player Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that he is leaving football as Elon Musk intends to buy his club. The viral post seems to be a merger of two different interviews. On one hand Elon Musk is seen to be showing his interest to buy Manchester United club and also hoping for a hand of friendship with Cristiano Ronaldo.Whereas, on the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo expresses his disinterest in playing under Elon Musk and announces that he is quitting football as Musk is buying his club.

Our keyword search led us to the full version of Ronaldo's clip in the viral video. The YouTube interview was shared by sky sports channel in January 2022.On analyzing the video carefully, we found out that Cristiano Ronaldo did not mention a word about Elon Musk buying his club or that he being interested in playing under the ownership of Musk.Here Ronaldo is seen to be expressing his disappointment over the performance of his team in premier league. He did not mention a single time about quitting Manchester.

Moving to the other part of the viral video, where Elon Musk made an announcement on buying Manchester United club. We landed on a podcast with Lex Fridmem where Elon Musk be seen talking about spaceX, Tesla autopilot, self-driving, robotics, Mars and AI on YouTube. On analysing the video carefully, we could not find any mention of the intend to buy Manchester United football club because he likes Ronaldo.

Lastly, Elon Musk is in hot news these days. Anything related to Musk would have been covered by media organizations. We could not find any report about Elon Musk intending to buy any football team. It is evident that the video is edited in order to spread misinformation about Elon Musk.
